Short answer, no Kangen water cannot cure cancer, longer answer there is a lot of speculation and wild guessing amount Kangen and alkaline water drinkers, some of this speculation may hold some truth, other speculation is just made up.
The most commonly held and wrong belief is that diseases like cancer can only grow and thrive in an acidic environment and are themselves acidic so by introducing a source of alkaline from Kangen water or other brands of ionised water you can cure cancer, whilst it is true that cancer needs an acidic environment, if you could make the body alkaline enough to kill cancer you would have long since killed the rest of your body.
Other ideas are that my eating alkaline foods and drinking alkaline water you are lowering your risk of getting cancer and keeping your body alkaline, thereís no truth in the idea that you can keep your body alkaline or fight off acid in the body by neutralising it with alkaline water.
There is currently no scientific evidence or medical evidence to support the idea that drinking alkaline water can prevent, lessen or cure cancer, there is however much personal testimony where cancer sufferers have claimed remission after drinking alkaline water, any remission may be due to the cancer treatments they where receiving at the hospital like chemotherapy or other medical intervention and this just happened to coincide with the patients discovery of alkaline water, thatís not to say that you shouldnít try alkaline water if thatís what you want but not at as a replacement for any other medical intervention available to you.
It would be nice to think that the cure for cancer is as simple as drinking Kangen water or another brand of alkaline water and whilst there is personal testimony to support that there is no hard evidence in the way of medical or scientific trials.
Now all that being said in some Asian countries alkaline water is given to patients in private cancer clinics, does that mean alkaline water is curing cancer or just something else to try that the hospital administrator thought of, either way itís a nice addition to your cancer fighting arsenal but in no way should be a substitute of medical treatment.
Iíve read a claim that by drinking highly alkaline water in conjunction with cancer medication has lead to remission in at least this patient who gave the personal testimony, consult your doctor before adding alkaline water to your diet, if your doctor says it wonít work but wonít do you any harm (the most likely comment) then your free to try for yourself.
Thereís a school of thought that says you can prevent cancer by regularly drinking alkaline water, there is no medical proof to this statement, of course everyone is free to drink alkaline water in the hopes of some benefits and personal testimony suggest there are healing properties but thatís not guaranteed, and the scientific community does not support those claims.
Drinking alkaline water canít change the pH of your blood, thatís held constant by your body and your body does a pretty good job of maintaining itís own pH regardless of the acidity or alkalinity of the food and drink we consume, so alkaline water (from a medical standpoint) is unlikely to cure cancer by removing the acidic environment that cancer cells need.
